Clinical Negligence and Healthcare
Liam is currently working with John de Bono QC on behalf a claimant in a high value claim arising from a delayed diagnosis of cancer. In his own right Liam undertakes a full range of pleadings in clinical negligence cases and is often happy to accept instructions at short notice and with quick turnaround to facilitate service deadlines. In court Liam is most frequently instructed on CCMCs. He is experienced in costs budgeting and use of the relevant Excel spreadsheets.

Liam is instructed on a number of group actions against manufacturers of metal-on-metal hip implants and is gaining significant experience of product liability and group litigation.
Liam regularly appears on medical inquests, including Article 2 inquests, on behalf of families, care homes and NHS Trusts including those where potential verdicts of neglect or suicide have arisen. He has particular experience in cases concerning fatal pulmonary emboli and deaths following voluntary admission for psychiatric treatment.
Liam is instructed by both individual practitioners and their defence organisations before the healthcare regulators. He has advised or appeared on matters before the GMC, GDC, NMC and HCPC.
