Second Deepcut Inquest into the death of Sean Benton commences

Bridget Dolan QC and Jamie Mathieson are acting as ‘Counsel to the Inquest’ at the fresh inquest into the death of Private Sean Benton at Deepcut barracks in Surrey in 1995. The ‘Nominated Judge’ Coroner, HH Peter Rook QC, will hear evidence from over 150 witnesses in sittings that will run from January to Easter 2018.
John Beggs QC, Cecily White and Paul Spencer of Serjeants’ Inn are also representing interested persons at the hearings in Woking.
