Paul is Director of Clerking at Serjeants’ Inn, overseeing all aspects of practice management and leading the clerking team with a focus on strategic planning, client service, and professional development. He plays a central role in the day-to-day running of Chambers, working closely with members and staff to ensure the highest standards of support for clients and counsel alike.

Paul’s clerking career spans more than 30 years at leading common law sets. He joins Serjeants’ Inn following 22 years at a top ranked chambers, including 15 years as Senior Clerk. He is known for his calm, client-focused approach, his personable manner, and his instinctive understanding of what a case requires when recommending counsel.

Paul is part of the Senior Management Team with our Chief Executive Catherine Calder; which in tandem with the Heads of Chambers, implements Chambers’ strategic business plans.  This innovative structure and approach has seen Chambers presented with numerous awards and accolades.
