Connie-Mae Brooks

Junior Clerk

Overview

Connie-Mae is a Barristers’ Clerk with a particular interest in chambers’ work in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and police negligence. Her previous career supporting families and children with SEN has given her first-hand understanding of the challenges involved in these cases, and it continues to shape the care and sensitivity she brings to the clerking process. Connie-Mae finds police negligence matters especially engaging due to the variety and depth of the work they involve.

Connie-Mae really enjoy the social and collaborative nature of clerking – working closely with courts, judges, and legal teams, and managing the important day-to-day details that help cases run smoothly. She joined Serjeants’ Inn because of its friendly, approachable team and its involvement in high-level, impactful cases.

Connie-Mae is dedicated to building strong relationships, getting to know people’s stories, and providing reliable, supportive assistance to both our barristers and our clients. She aims to bring kindness, approachability, and professionalism to every interaction.
