Andrew Hockton acts in Court of Protection case where court authorises urgent treatment of breast cancer for patient lacking capacity

On 12th October 2017 Mr Justice Keehan, sitting in the Court of Protection, gave judgment in a serious medical treatment case, authorising urgent breast surgery on a patient, JT, following a diagnosis of cancer. JT had suffered from paranoid schizophrenia for many years and lacked capacity. Andrew Hockton was instructed by the Official Solicitor, on behalf of JT.
