Court of Appeal grants permission for assisted dying case

On 12th April 2017 the Court of Appeal granted permission for Noel Conway to bring a judicial review attempting to change the law to allow assisted dying, reversing the High Court’s decision of 31st March 2017. The full case will now be heard by the High Court.
Amy Street was instructed in the case, led by Richard Gordon QC, before starting parental leave. She will return to practice later this year. Amy specialises in cases involving novel or complex points of law and was part of the winning team in the Supreme Court in Cheshire West and Chester Council v P  UKSC 19;  AC 896.
Alex Ruck Keene and Annabel Lee are the current juniors for the claimant in the case.
